You could spend the day slow cooking some tri-tip or brisket at home, but sometimes it’s nice to go where the barbeque is always good, the drinks are inexpensive and you don’t have to do any of the work. With a huge outdoor patio, clubhouse, music stage, flat screen TVs, fire ring and picnic area, Jul has really set up an environment where families, sports fans and hungry visitors can let loose and grub down. We recently stopped by and ordered one of Jul’s Famous BBQ Tri-Tip sandwiches along with the Tri-Tip Nachos. Okay, we may be a little partial to the tri-tip, but both the sandwich and nachos were amazing!

We weren’t able to get in a game of horseshoes that day, but we did have a chance to chat with a couple from Wisconsin who were visiting Temecula for the first time, on their way to San Diego. They were very pleased with their Great Dane polish hot dog and Chili Bowl while on a break from shopping in Old Town. Jul’s son Billy, the resident BBQ expert and chef, was even on hand to show us his techniques. In addition to great BBQ, Jul has established great Happy Hour specials you can take advantage of any day of the week from 4-6pm.
