Approximately 10 miles northeast of Temecula, Lake Skinner is a popular recreation area for sailing, fishing, horseback riding and hiking. There are 158 RV sites and 300 developed campsites available. Lake Skinner is also the site of the annual Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival.

6 mile hiking and equestrian trail. Open from sunrise to sunset, the cost is $5 per car and $2 per horse. Closed during winter months.
