Wine Country was aglitter last night as the stars lined the red carpet at Ponte Winery's Premiere Shopping Night. If you are a Ponte Wine Club member and attended the festivities, you probably noticed you were in the company of such celebrities as Cameron Diaz, Sean Hayes and Julia Roberts. Okay, it may have been Ponte's glamorous staff serving up tasty appetizers and pouring a trio of debut red wines that resembled Hollywood's A-List. And in true Oscar fashion, paparazzi lit up the red carpet entrance while guests were treated to a complimentary glass of Moscato and bag of movie popcorn.

But the real stars of the night were the three new Ponte Estate red wines making their official debut: The 2007 Dolcetto, 2007 Petite Syrah and 2007 Tempranillo. Guests had the chance to taste each new wine and vote for their favorite on an Academy Awards type ballot. While all wine and merchandise was 30% during the evening, the winning debut wine will be featured in an encore discount of 30% from Wednesday, March 17 to Wednesday, March 31.

Ponte Winery is known for putting on great Wine Club Member only events and this was no exception. Members and their guests came out dressed to the nines to enjoy their membership perks including debut wines, tray passed hors d'oeuvers, live music and major discounts on all the amazing merchandise in the gift shop.
